Gornergrat-Festival 2013

Against a unique backdrop of the Matterhorn and 28 other 4000-metre high peaks the alphorn becomes the centre of attention as a Swiss tradition with the Gornergrat Festival 2013. The goal is to beat the alphorn world record established in 2009 with 366 alphorn blowers. During the European tours to Switzerland or tour of Europe with visit to Zermatt, you will see Gornergrat Festival. Various cantonal, national and international alphorn formations show the best of their skills on the Gornergrat, Riffelberg and Riffelalp, supported by 26 flag-waver formations. Highlight: joint concert and world record attempt by all alphorn blowers with world premiere on the Gornergrat on 17 August (alternative date if bad weather: 18.08.2013).
