The visitors of an enlarged and modernized skiing centre restaurant will find out that skiing goes through the stomach. Strbske Pleso has been known for many years as the place where the winter season starts. In this skiing centre, there are high-quality red marked slopes (suitable for moderately good skiers). For the coming season, the operators have put the emphasis to the not-so-skilled ones. Strbske Pleso will please its fans with a new, blue-marked, 2.2 kilometres long slope with snowmaking, situated right next to the favourite Interski slope. The families with children will be attracted by MAXILAND - a new, larger skiing school. Discounts and benefits for holiday makers this winter will be nothing new. Just as in the previous years, TATRY Card - the regional discount card - will provide the accommodated visitors with discounts for ski passes, aqua park entries as well as other attractions and services in Tatras. Use of ski buses (excluding Strbske Pleso) and aqua buses will be absolutely free. The ski buses will do the following routes: Tatranské Zruby - Smokovce - Tatranska Lomnica and back; Tatranska Lomnica - Stará Lesná - Veľká Lomnica and back; Poprad - Stary Smokovec - Strbske Pleso and back. The last route will be absolutely new and skiers will be pleased that the first morning bus will arrive to Tatranska Lomnica, the most favourite centre in Tatras, for the beginning of the cableways operation at 8:30. Aqua bus will depart from Poprad to the following route: Stary Smokovec - Tatranska Lomnica - Stará Lesná - Veľká Lomnica and back. Cross-country skiing lovers will not be left out either. They will have the opportunity to enjoy almost 70 kilometres of routes at Strbske Pleso, Tatranska Lomnica, Stary Smokovec and surrounding areas. These routes will be arranged daily. "Mekka" of the Slovak cross-country will please with a brand new, educational walking route. The tourists will enjoy 30 panels with information regarding the history of Strbske Pleso. They will find out about winter sports, interesting fauna and flora of Tatras. 30 panels with information will show the atmosphere of the 1970 World Championship, introduce Olympians from Tatras, movies shot in this location and other interesting information.
